Neighbour shocked by fatal shooting north of Prince Albert
Once a picture of rural tranquility, the view from Clem Marchildon’s front window now resembles a television crime show.
Just a few hundred yards away, police cars and crime scene tape block the entrance to Larry McDougald’s residence as RCMP continue to investigate a fatal shooting that took place on his property.
McDougald, 66, has been arrested and charged with the murder of his 45-year-old son Terry, as well as attempted murder and pointing a firearm in relation to the incident.
Marchildon said he’s shocked by the shooting and saddened by its senselessness, “It’s very sad news because there’s no reason for it, it could have been avoided.”
