Snow arrives in Prince Albert

Sep 23, 2018 | 10:30 AM

A weather system that brought six inches of snow Saturday to the Kindersley and Rosetown areas, has moved north and was there to greet Prince Albert residents Sunday morning.

Environment Canada forecasted two cm. of snow to fall in the Prince Albert area Sunday. Snow mixed with rain was expected for the afternoon and evening.

Highway travellers can likely expect wet, slushy conditions on the highways. As the temperature drops in the evening, roads may become icy.  Here is a link to the latest highway conditions. The good news is the snowy conditions will not last long. The weather system was heading east into Manitoba. Monday and Tuesday will still be cool and cloudy, but not as cold with temperatures around 10C.
