Students celebrate 150th anniversary with kids across Canada

Lucky students in North Battleford had an opportunity to connect with other kids from across Canada on Wednesday, as part of a project to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary.

For the second summer in a row, the Battlefords District Food and Resource Centre will be teaming up with the City of North Battleford Parks and Recreation Department for After the Bell which distributes bags of food to children who use the supervised park program during the summer months.

North Battleford RCMP have deemed the cause of a house fire last week in North Battleford to be suspicious.

They confirmed the fire last Thursday afternoon on June 8 started at a property at 1722 Centennial Crescent.
