Police seize meth, imitation firearm during traffic stop

A local woman will appear in court today, facing several charges stemming from a vehicle stop last night with the Prince Albert Police Service.

Prince Albert’s Integrated StreeEnforcement Unit worked in tandem with officers after the stop on 30th St. E. During the search, officers seized 12.8 g of methamphetamine in three separate bags, nine mg of Hydromorph Contin, plastic baggies, Canadian currency, a digital scale, a BB handgun, two knives and a cell phone.

The 26-year-old was charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, unlawful possession of hydromorphone, possession of an imitation weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public peace, possession of proceeds of property obtained or derived directly or indirectly from trafficking.
