A call to the bar
The Battleford Court of Queen’s Bench inducted 13 new lawyers Friday afternoon.
The ceremony for swearing law students into the profession is known as a call to the bar, or call to the profession, which requires several years of hard work to officially become a lawyer.
Andrew Clements was one of the 13 inductees who had several hurdles to jump in order to get to the ceremony.
“[The ceremony] is special to all of us,” Clements said. “[We] have worked so hard to become a member of the profession.”
